"That pivotal moment gave me a profound gratitude for our first responders and the critical work they perform every day."

I’m running for the Southern Marin Fire Protection District Board because I care deeply about the safety, readiness, and resilience of our community. Living in the Wildland‑Urban Interface in Tam Valley has given me a firsthand appreciation of how vital rigorous emergency planning, proactive vegetation management, and reliable communication are to keeping our neighborhoods safe.

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked collaboratively with residents, local businesses, and municipal partners in Sausalito. As the managing partner of Poggio and Copita, I oversee complex daily operations, strict regulatory compliance, staffing systems, and multi‑million‑dollar budgets—hands-on administrative experience that directly translates to the governance and fiscal oversight required of the SMFD Board. Furthermore, my service on the board of the Downtown Sausalito Business Association has reinforced my commitment to team-oriented, community-centered leadership.

I also approach this district's mission with a deeply personal perspective. When one of my restaurants experienced a fire, the Southern Marin Fire Protection District responded with extraordinary professionalism and speed. That pivotal moment gave me a profound gratitude for our first responders and the critical work they perform every day.

Today, Southern Marin faces real challenges: narrow evacuation routes, aging infrastructure, and escalating wildfire threats. I am running to provide a steady, accountable, and engaged voice—someone who listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and works constructively alongside residents, district staff, and partner agencies. My background in business management has prepared me to champion strong operations, responsible budgeting, and transparent decision-making.

Ultimately, this candidacy is rooted in service, careful stewardship, and ensuring our district remains fully prepared for whatever lies ahead.
